𝐀𝐫𝐣𝐮𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐧, 𝟒𝟖 (𝟏𝟒 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟗𝟕𝟕 – 𝟏𝟎 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓)𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝐼𝐼𝐼 𝑜𝑓 𝑎 𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑒𝑒-𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑠___𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐧Arjun Menon loved Malawi and believed in its people, evident in his work building the cricket program at Cricket Malawi. His death is not just a loss to his family and friends, it ripples through the cricket community, especially in the countries he worked, played, and coached in.It has been more than a year since his death, and progress on his case has been painfully slow. As his family, we have received no explanation for this delay, and the police have never initiated contact with us. After much research and follow-up on my part, I finally reached the currently assigned investigating officer in July 2026. While he was polite, gave me time to ask questions, and offered reassurances, I still have no explanation for why this has taken so long, especially since the case remains with the same police station where it was registered. All we ask, as Arjun's family, is to be kept regularly informed, and for Arjun's case not to be delayed further.Arjun contributed so much to Malawi, even though he was not born on its soil. To him, Malawi was home, and its people were his family. We hope the community he loved so much will support us in our quest for justice for him. This appeal extends to every association he was part of: Cricket Malawi, Singapore Cricket Association, and cricketing bodies in Botswana, Chile, Western Australia, and wherever he coached and left a part of himself behind. Arjun gave to each of these communities. If they could stand with us publicly, that would give us so much power and volume to our pursuit. If you have any information that could help this case, please come forward. We also encourage people to follow us on our socials; we believe more eyes on this case will go a long way in helping us get the answers we're looking for. A family seeks justice. If you could, put yourself in Prema’s shoes. She lost her brother to a heinous and brutal act of violence in Malawi. He was the “cool kid” she played with. He was her role model and inspiration. He taught her never to “punch down on people.” But he was dead, murdered on his way home in Nancholi District, Blantyre, Malawi, on May 10, 2025. If you could, put yourself in Prema’s shoes. She lost her beloved brother. There were more questions than answers. What was done in the first 30 days after Arjun’s death? A report on the case was only sent to the Singapore Embassy in Beijing by the Malawian authorities in August 2026, 15 months after Arjun’s death. Why? It was only a page and a half long, with minimal investigative detail beyond what was already known from Arjun’s autopsy report. A family remained in the dark. The investigating officer in Malawi is uncontactable. The case has remained with the same police station and has not been escalated or transferred. Silence. There is only silence. Arjun Menon was not merely a statistic. He’s a son, a brother and a beloved friend and neighbour. He gave so much of himself to Malawi. This is not how Arjun's case should be treated. Arjun died in a foreign land, doing what he loved best: coaching and mentoring the next generation of cricketing talent in Malawi. Put yourself in Prema’s shoes. She is calling for justice for her brother, and rightly so.She is doing all she can to prevent her brother’s case from turning into a cold case. Who murdered Arjun on May 10, 2024? Thus far, there are no suspects identified or arrests made. Why? No one is being accountable for Arjun’s murder. Malawi is no longer a dictatorship. Article 16 of Malawi’s constitution states in no uncertain terms, “Every person has the right to life, and no person shall be arbitrarily deprived of his or her life.”Arjun’s life was arbitrarily taken away from him. Period. This is a clear violation of the nation’s supreme law. Clearly, Arjun’s human rights have not been upheld. Put yourself in Prema’s shoes. She seeks explanation, answers and justice. In the halls of bureaucracy, she stood alone. In the darkest corners, grief comes in waves. It spared her no mercy. Why should an independent nation-state spare the perpetrators any mercy? Answers and justice elude Prema. Sleepless nights. In her moments of solitude, she wept. However, it seems that no number of personal appeals could awaken a justice system from its slumber. Arjun’s murder must not become a cold case. It must not fade away with time. We must all do our part, however insignificant it seems. Arjun’s dignity was violated. His grievances (and those of his family) were not addressed. It is a tragedy. If you could, put yourself in Prema’s shoes. She lost her brother to murder, and his murderer(s) continue to walk free today. #JusticeforCoachAJPlease read and share. Thank you.𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭: Prema Menon …

My ordeal with Malawi Police Service To our followers in Malawi, especially friends and colleagues of Arjun, if we want Malawi Police to be more responsive, forthcoming and transparent – I need you to share this with everyone you know in Malawi. I really do mean everyone. Please tag the Malawi Police accounts, tag officers, tag publications, tag journalists, tag social media personalities you might know. Share it in community groups, neighbourhood groups. The Malawi Police need to know that there are people watching how this case is being handled, that it's not just me and my family. Arjun Menon, my brother, was murdered in Malawi in May 2025 – getting answers from Malawi Police has been such an ordeal. It has been 16 months, we do not have a clear idea of what investigation took place, where things are at, and what their plans are moving forward. Why is it so hard for the family to get answers they are rightfully owed? This is an excerpt from my MONEY FM 89.3 interview. ABOUT

A Life Fully Lived

Arjun Menon was born in Singapore on 14 March 1977, the first born son to A P Gopinath Menon and V P Nandini. The story goes that my mother Nandini turned up at the hospital a week early, so eager was she, but Arjun took his time, in no rush from the get go.

I was born into the stories of my brother. In each of those stories, what I hear is the love and adoration that my parents had for him, and his extended family too.

That’s such a special thing.

Arjun’s love of cricket began when he joined St Patrick’s, and it set the trajectory of his life. The game took him to many corners of the world. He finally landed in Malawi in 2022, and that’s where he was finally laid to rest after his passing.

Arjun went where the game needed him. He had no interest in the big leagues. What mattered to him was being where cricket could be developed, where kids could pick up a bat and start to see a future for themselves.

This page is a place to remember him. It will grow from here, with stories, memories, and the voices of the people whose lives he touched.

Thank you for visiting. I hope that reading these memories keeps his spirit alive for you.
